About | Help BLUE is a Hattrick managerial aid intended to allow a quickfire selection of the best - or most nearly the best - starting eleven, given all your players' form and statistics. It displays all players in a nifty sortable database table for easy comparism, and computes ideal lineups for all seven standard Hattrick formations. The weightage of each skill can be tweaked by advanced users...

About | Help ...but the default values should give pretty good results. Statistical information about the team and a point-system ranking of the best players for each position is supplied. Finally, a comprehensive evaluation of the team with suggestions is offered. Of course, there is no substitution for real human managerial acumen, but for a rough and ready analysis BLUE is the tool for you! |

About | Help (What do the extra options do?) The extra options allow you to: 1. Decide how important each skill is to you in each position. For instance, if you feel wingers should primarily help in possession, set their "Playmaking" weightage higher and other skills lower. Take note that the percentages have to add up to 100%.

About | Help (What do the extra options do?) 2. Decide how important a player's stamina and experience are, in the same way 3. Choose whether to consider weather effects, such as giving preference to Powerful players if the forecast is for rain.

About | Help (What do the extra options do?) For the Form, Experience and Stamina multipliers (FORM, EXPM and STAM), the numbers indicate the extra % (or loss of %) from one additional (or lower) skill level, with inadequate as 100%. Thus, if FORM is set as 20, a players with solid form (2 levels above average) would have his skill values multiplied by 140%. The maximum value for all three multipliers is 20.

About | Help (Will the info... be compromised?) In short, no. The long answer: The risk of sending data to BLUE should be no higher than logging on to Hattrick and retrieving data from it. Your players' data is never stored on the server after processing is done. As for your Hattrick account, your account name and password are not required for BLUE, therefore there can be no compromise of your account.

|
About | Help (Can I include... certain players?) Yes on both counts. NOTE: BLUE does not detect suspensions. Managers must manually exclude suspended players. Including injured players is done by checking the "Include injured" under Extra Options

|
About | Help (Can I include... certain players?) Excluding players from being considered is done by entering their names, seperated by commas, in the "Exclude" text box, also under Extra Options. If you have two or more players with the same name, the first will have a 1 suffix and so on. Thus, the first John Doe to come on your players list is John Doe1 in BLUE, the next John Doe2, etc.

|
About | Help (Can I indicate high or low skill...?) Yes. However this must be done manually. After pasting the player details in the Enter Team Data text box, just add a "h" suffix to the skill level if that skill level is approaching the next level (high), or a "l" suffix if it is just above the previous level (low). Example: a high excellent skill would be indicated as "excellenth".

About | Help (...players with identical names?) Then the first player to have that name will have a "1" suffix added behind his name, and so on.

About | Help (Who wrote BLUE? ...freeware?) BLUE was programmed by Lim Yong San, Gilbert (that's me!) after I discovered the Key Value Concept on Hattrick Gameday. It is meant as the flagship application of my Hattrick Online Toolsuite. GLYS is also the manager of Grilled Birds (37759), Singapore II.1. BLUE is totally free to use, ever. No responsibility will be taken for any not-so-good decisions taken due to it, or anything else for that matter, though.
